Seller terms
These terms (version 3, published 24 October 2026) apply to businesses that sell products on damoestore.co.uk through the DAMO E-STORE Seller Hub (damoestore.co.uk/sell). The marketplace is run by DAMO LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16820182. Contact: damo.estore@gmail.com. You must accept these terms to sell. We record when you accept them (date, time, internet address and browser).
Changes to these terms
We’ll email you at least 15 days before changes take effect (longer if you need to make significant changes to your products or listings), unless the law or a safety or fraud risk requires a faster change. If you don’t agree, you can end your subscription before the changes apply. Version 3 applies to new sellers straight away and to existing sellers from 9 November 2026.
Who can sell
You must be a business (a registered company or a sole trader) aged 18 or over, based in the United Kingdom, a country of the EU/EEA, Switzerland, the United States or Canada, with a bank account in that country. These are the countries our payments provider, Stripe, can pay automatically. You must give accurate company details, including the country you're based in. Stripe checks your identity and bank details, and your products only appear once that check is complete.
Fees
- Subscription: £30 a month, charged by card through Stripe each month from the day you subscribe. New sellers pay £10 for their first month (one first month per seller; it doesn’t apply if you cancel and subscribe again). You can cancel at any time in the Seller Hub; your products stay live until the end of the month you’ve paid for. Subscriptions are not refunded for part months.
- Commission: 10% of the item price on each sale. Commission isn’t charged on your delivery charge.
- Prices on DAMO E-STORE are in pounds sterling (£). Stripe converts your payments to your own currency and may charge its own conversion and cross-border fees.
- We may change fees with at least 30 days’ notice by email.
Your prices and discounts
You set your own prices. DAMO E-STORE discount codes and promotions don’t apply to your products and DAMO E-STORE doesn’t pay for any discount on them. If you want to offer a discount, you can set a lower price and show a genuine “was” price (the price you actually charged before). Prices must include any taxes you are responsible for.
Listing products, stock and our review
- Every product, and every change to a live product’s details, is reviewed by us before it appears on the website. Large price rises are reviewed again. We can refuse or remove any product at our discretion.
- Each product must show accurate stock. Keep it up to date in the Seller Hub so customers don’t buy items you don’t have.
- You can have up to 500 listings. After 100 successful sales (orders delivered without being cancelled or refunded) your limit rises to 2,000 listings.
- You must not list anything that is illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, uses another brand without permission, or needs safety marking (such as UKCA or CE) that it doesn’t have. Photos and descriptions must be your own and accurate.
Prohibited items
These can’t be listed or sold on DAMO E-STORE. This includes everything Royal Mail prohibits or restricts in the post, even if you would send it another way:
- Drugs, narcotics, cannabis/CBD/THC products and drug paraphernalia
- Medicines and medication of any kind (prescription or over the counter), supplements, vaccines, medical or clinical items
- Guns, replica or toy guns that look real, airsoft/BB guns, ammunition, tasers, pepper spray, crossbows and any other weapons
- Knives, blades, razors and any sharp objects
- Cigarettes, cigars, tobacco, nicotine products, vapes, e-cigarettes and e-liquids, shisha
- Chemicals: corrosives, acids, bleach, solvents, poisons, pesticides and weedkillers, oxidisers, asbestos, radioactive materials
- Flammable items: lighters and refills, matches, fuel, gas canisters, flammable liquids or solids, fireworks, explosives, Christmas crackers
- Aerosols, paints, varnishes and enamels, nail varnish/polish/gel, perfumes and aftershaves
- Alcoholic drinks, food and other perishable items, dry ice
- Loose or spare batteries (electronics with the battery built in are allowed)
- Live animals, insects, plants and seeds for planting, human or animal ashes, biological substances
- Counterfeit or branded goods without permission, counterfeit money or stamps, lottery tickets, obscene or adult material, goods made in prisons
- Car parts that contained fuel or oil, magnets strong enough to affect other mail, and anything else Royal Mail doesn’t allow in the post
Products that mention prohibited items are blocked automatically, and every product is checked by us before it goes live. Listing a prohibited item can lead to the product being removed, your account being suspended or closed, and payments being held.
Product safety information
- For every product you must give the manufacturer’s name and address, and any safety warnings or instructions. These are shown to customers.
- If you deliver to the EU or EEA and you aren’t based there, you must name an EU responsible person (a business in the EU that holds the product’s safety information), as the EU General Product Safety Regulation requires.
- For Audio & Gadgets, Smart Home, Kids & Toys and Health & Beauty products, you must upload proof that the product is genuine and safe (a supplier invoice, or a UKCA/CE certificate, test report or declaration of conformity), and hold valid product liability insurance, uploaded in the Seller Hub. Products in these categories are paused if your insurance expires.
- If we learn a product may be unsafe, we can remove it straight away, contact the customers who bought it with a safety notice or recall, and ask you to refund them. You must cooperate with any recall and with Trading Standards or other authorities.
Reports, brand owners and takedowns
Anyone can report a product at damoestore.co.uk/report, including brand and copyright owners. We may remove a reported product while we look into it. We tell you why and you can respond through Help & appeals. Repeated valid reports can lead to suspension or removal of your account.
Delivery
You choose the countries you deliver to and set a delivery price and usual delivery time for each; your own country is the starting point. Each product shows the countries it can be delivered to, and customers in other countries can’t buy it. Post orders within 2 working days with a tracked service, and add the tracking number in the Seller Hub. You are responsible for any export paperwork and customs declarations for parcels you send abroad, and you must describe the contents and value truthfully.
Selling to customers
You are the seller of your products and the customer’s contract for those products is with you. Your company name, number, town and country are shown on your products. You must comply with the consumer law of the customer’s country (in the UK, including the 14-day right to cancel online orders) and handle returns and faulty items from your returns address.
Seller performance standards
Over the last 90 days (once you have 10 orders) you must keep: orders posted late (more than 3 days after the order) below 10%, problems reported by customers below 4%, and refunds below 5%. If you go above these we warn you; above 20% late, 8% problems or 10% refunds your account is suspended automatically. We remind you about orders not posted after 2 days; orders not posted after 7 days are passed to us and may be refunded. You can see your figures on your Seller Hub dashboard.
Honest prices and reviews
A “was” price must be a price the product has genuinely been on sale at on DAMO E-STORE for at least 28 of the last 90 days, and the Seller Hub checks this. You must not write, buy or reward fake reviews or ratings, or pay or offer anything in return for positive reviews, and you must not show prices that leave out unavoidable charges.
How products are ranked
The shop order is shuffled for each visitor so all products get a fair turn. Customers can also sort by price or name, filter by category, and search words in titles and categories. Products only show in countries you deliver to. Nobody can pay for a better position, and DAMO E-STORE’s own products are treated the same way as yours.
Tax details and reporting to HMRC
UK law (the reporting rules for digital platforms) requires us to collect your tax details and report your sales on DAMO E-STORE to HMRC each year. You must give your tax identification number (in the UK, a UTR or National Insurance number), and your date of birth if you sell as an individual, plus your address and company number. Payments to you are held until these are complete. By 31 January each year we send you a copy of the information we report about the previous year. Sellers with fewer than 30 sales totalling less than €2,000 in a year are not reported.
VAT on sales to UK customers by sellers outside the UK
If you are based outside the UK and sell to a customer in the UK, UK law treats DAMO E-STORE, as the online marketplace, as responsible for the UK VAT on that sale. We therefore keep back UK VAT of one-sixth (20% VAT within a VAT-inclusive price) of the item price and delivery charge on those orders from your payment, and account for it to HMRC. Your prices must therefore include UK VAT. You remain responsible for all other taxes in your own country and elsewhere.
Payment to you
- Customers pay DAMO E-STORE at checkout. For each order you receive the item price minus 10% commission (and minus UK VAT where the section above applies), plus the full delivery charge the customer paid.
- New sellers: no payments are made during your first 2 weeks after registering. Money for orders in that time is held and paid once the other conditions below are met.
- Every order: your payment is sent 2 weeks after the order is delivered. An order counts as delivered when the customer confirms it, or, if they don’t, 7 days after you mark it as posted (21 days if it’s posted to another country), as long as the customer hasn’t reported a problem.
- If a customer reports a problem (for example not received, damaged or not as described), the payment for that order is held until the problem is resolved. We may refund the customer if you can’t show the item was delivered as described, and you won’t be paid for that order.
- Payments are sent to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays them into your bank on its usual schedule.
Cancellations, refunds and chargebacks
If an order is cancelled before you post it, the customer is refunded and you receive nothing for it. If a customer is refunded after you’ve been paid (for example a return, a faulty item, a chargeback or a lost parcel you can’t prove was delivered), the amount paid to you for that order may be taken back from your Stripe account.
Holding, suspending and closing accounts
We may put your account on hold, suspend it, or close it, hold payments that are due, and hide or remove products, for breaking these terms or the law, poor performance, unpaid subscriptions, suspected fraud, valid reports from customers or rights owners, or to protect customers. We always email you our reasons. Before closing an account for good we give at least 30 days’ notice, unless the law requires otherwise, you have repeatedly broken these terms, or there is a safety, fraud or legal risk. You can stop selling at any time by cancelling your subscription.
Complaints and appeals
You can complain or appeal any decision (such as a rejected or removed product, held payment, or account restriction) free of charge through Help & appeals in the Seller Hub. We consider every complaint properly and reply within 10 working days with our decision and reasons. If we can’t settle a dispute this way, we are willing to try mediation before going to court; each side pays its own costs of mediation unless agreed otherwise.
Your promises to us
You confirm that the information you give us is true and kept up to date, that you have the right to sell your products, that neither you nor your business owners are subject to sanctions, and that you won’t use DAMO E-STORE for fraud or money laundering. We may share information with Stripe, HMRC, Trading Standards, the police or other authorities where the law requires or to prevent fraud.
Customer data
You receive customers’ names, delivery addresses and sometimes phone numbers only to deliver and support their orders. You must use them for nothing else (no marketing unless the customer separately agrees to it with you), keep them secure, delete them when no longer needed for the order, returns or your legal records, and tell us straight away about any data breach involving them. You handle that data as an independent controller under UK GDPR.
Your information
We keep your account and company details to run the marketplace and for our tax and legal records. Stripe handles your identity documents and bank details under its own privacy policy; we don’t see your full ID or bank numbers. We give customers your name, company details, country and returns address, and we give you the customer’s name and delivery address only to deliver their order. You must use customer details for that purpose only.
Liability and law
We provide the marketplace as it is and aren’t responsible for your products. You agree to cover any losses, claims, fines and reasonable legal costs we suffer because your products or conduct break the law, these terms, or anyone’s rights (including product safety and intellectual property claims). We may deduct amounts you owe us from payments due to you. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the subscription and commission you paid us in that period, except where the law doesn’t allow this to be limited. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
